The Lapa Steps - Escadaria Selarón

I don't know much about the making of the Lapa steps (Escadaria Selaron), except that the artist recently died a horrible death a few months ago.  You can read more about the steps here.

(Sorry for the blurry picture, but it was the only one that showed all of the lower steps.)

I liked this yellow house, which is at the top of the first set of steps.

I don't know why I thought those birds looked interesting...

At the top of the steps is a neighborhood that is actually kind of crummy... though the view is great from up there!
