For today's face I did my Every Day Routine, but instead of red lipgloss, I went with natural lips.
Natural lips |
Peter prefers my natural lip color to any lipsticks or glosses I wear. :( (This is sad, because I love lipstick!)
The secret to naturally luscious lips is this: Exfoliate!
I used Mary Kay's Satin Lips Lip Mask, but you can also make your own lip scrub by mixing a little bit of sugar with a little bit of coconut oil or olive oil.

Apply the lip mask
Let it sit for a couple of minutes |
Make funny faces at yourself in the mirror |
After I let the mask sit for a minute or two, I like to scrub it around my whole lip area.
Remove with a damp washcloth or cotton pad
After you exfoliate your lips, it's very important to follow up with a good lip balm! You can use the one that comes in the Mary Kay Satin Lips Set, or another favorite balm of choice. I am still enjoying my birthday present from Sephora from last year - A deluxe sample of Fresh's Sugar Lip Balm.
At this point I moved to the living room for better lighting! :) |
You are now ready to smooch!
